Lock/Unlock Partition:

Checking the box next to Lock partition in the Partition Options dialog will lock the partition.  This means you cannot write to the contents of the partition.  (The partition must be unmounted for you to change this setting.)  Check or uncheck the box next to Lock Partition, depending on your preference.
